‘Happy’ song from ‘Bale Pandiya’ goes viral 15 years after release* *Director Siddharth Chandrashekar elated by social media phenomenon* A song from the 2010 Tamil film ‘Bale Pandiya’, titled ‘Happy’, has unexpectedly gone viral on social media 15 years after its original release. The feel-good track, which has now crossed over 1 million views, is winning hearts of a new generation of listeners. Produced by AGS Entertainment and directed by Siddharth Chandrashekar, ‘Bale Pandiya’ starred Vishnu Vishal and Pia Bajpiee in the lead roles. The music for the film was composed by Devan Ekambaram, with lyrics by the legendary poet Vaalee. What makes ‘Happy’ particularly unique is that it was performed by a remarkable ensemble of 20 celebrated singers – including Hariharan, Devan Ekambaram, Naresh Iyer, Naveen Madhav, Paravai Muniyamma, Malaysia Vasudevan, Ranjith, Aalap Raju, Raqeeb Alam, Anuradha Sriram, Srinivas, Velmurugan, Manikka Vinayagam, Mukesh, Malgudi Subha, Divya, Anita, Suchitra, Vijay Yesudas, and Rahul Nambiar.
